Those people who think all celebrities let a nanny parent their children should take note. Model Heidi Klum and actress Denise Richards take parenthood very seriously. That’s why they got down in the trenches recently to help their daughters sell Girl Scout Cookies.
Early on in March, Denise Richards joined her daughter Sam to take part in the annual Girl Scout event. Word has it, mom and daughter did a good job too; earning solid money for the girls’ organization.
Yesterday, supermodel Klum got in the act. She joined her daughter Leni on an L.A. street corner to help sell the same delicious treats. Chances are good that more than a few people dropped on by to buy a box of cookies just for the chance to meet Heidi in the flesh.
Both Heidi Klum and Denise RichardsniseRichards took an active part in parenting their children, which is highly commendable. They could just as easily hire someone to handle the inconvenient stuff for them. Instead, they’re hands-on moms who want to enjoy some of the same things other moms do. They will be better for it and so will their children.
It’s also good news for the Girl Scout organization. The group is in the midst of celebrating 100 years in existence. A lot of famous people once wore a Girl Scout sash too. They include the likes of Lucille Ball, Mariah Carey, Sheryl Crow and Dakota Fanning. That’s very good company.
