Though the case was dismissed Thursday,
Britney Spears’ former manager Sam Lutfi recently sued the pop star and her parents for breach of contract, defamation and libel, regarding his portrayal in Lynne’s 2008 memoir, “Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World.”
As a result, headlines blared with accusations, including those of Britney’s former nanny, Leah Frand, who denied Lutfi’s claims that Britney kept crystal meth
in the house and that Jamie Spears punched him in the chest.
With the sometimes unrestricted access they have to a star’s family life, nannies are often privy to aspects of celebrities that the public is not — and thus often find themselves making the news themselves.
In 2007, former nannies to Britney Spears told Us Weekly
that the pop superstar “wanted a friend” and asked prospective caregivers about their personal lives more than their work history. “Britney asked me and one of her nannies to come to her room to watch her try on outfits for a party one night,” one source told the magazine, adding, “Then she stripped down naked in front of us!” (Via MSNBC
